Yael and Maya Devir, Israeli comic artists, require no introduction. Their web comic ‘One of those Days’ has 5.5 million followers on Instagram. Together, the pair illustrates their everyday life and exciting parenting adventures with daughter Ariel and newborn son Ethan.
They have a unique style that is readily recognizable and captivates the viewer. But most of all, their experiences hit you hard because we can all identify to them on a very personal level.
Look below at some of Yehuda and Maya’s best new comics, and let us know what you think of them in the comments section.
Ethan Devir was born into the Devir family, and he has appeared in a number of recent comics.
I mean, just look at them all! It’s clear that Ariel, the younger sister, is thrilled to have a new companion.
Long-term relationships are based on the foundation of trust. And it appears that Yehuda and Maya have complete faith in one another.
To learn more about how to (re)build and sustain trust in a serious relationship, I called out to relationship expert Dan Bacon from The Modern Man. To him, a person’s trust is a gift that can’t be forced. Other people must take care of and respect the trust placed in them, without being compelled to do so or reminded often.
In order to do this, you need to put your whole trust in the other person and allow them take care of it. Micromanaging isn’t necessary. Dan told us, “It’s up to them to maintain the trust you have in them by being trustworthy, without feeling any pressure coming from you.
Parenting isn’t always pleasant… not to mention that it’s relatable
It basically comes down to trusting the other person and having faith that they will do the right thing. One way for two people to reestablish their relationship is to give each other their full trust and then have faith that they’ll take care of it, without feeling rushed,” the expert told us.
A child is a child. It’s always enjoyable to raise children with the full support of your love
Earlier this year, Yehuda and Maya explained to Bored Panda how the Israeli lockdowns had affected their family in February. So, they had to hire a babysitter for their daughter Ariel while they were at work.
Because of the limitations imposed by the pandemic, we, too, must be creative in order to continue working in this environment. When possible, we attend online events,” Yehuda told my colleague in an interview. “We have transformed our lectures and workshops to be conducted on online platforms”.
A number of comics inspired by the recent Olympic Games were also created by Yehuda and Maya
Their schedules during the lockdowns were jam-packed with activities. They’ve also published a new book and a new online series on their creative lifestyle. Yehuda’s passion for drawing dates back to his childhood, when he began painting on his bedroom walls. His style was heavily influenced by American comics.
